The decision comes in the wake of the departures of Ilya Sutskever, co-founder of OpenAI, and Jan Leike, both of whom were integral to the team. Leike, who recently left the company, publicly expressed his dissatisfaction with OpenAI's shift in focus from safety to product development, stating that safety protocols had been sidelined in favor of launching new products.
